Here are a couple of silly music videos that our family made several months ago. Video #1: I Want it That Way They are on our You Tube Channel, but in case you haven't been there, I thought I'd put them here for you to enjoy! We get a good laugh every time we watch them. Video #2: Da Da Da

Sledding Party

Every year we go to our friend's house in Bailey to go sledding with our church family. Reuben and I didn't sled this time, but the rest of the family did. Richard was one of the crazy people who went flying
through the air several times, and had several crash landings as well! For more pictures of this event, click on the title of this post.

Valentine's Day Celebration - 2/13/2010

Richard and I celebrated Valentine's Day at our church as we have for the past three years. Our friend Bonnie organized quite an evening with festive decor; fancy h'or d'oeuvres such as stuffed mushrooms, salmon, and garlic bread; salad and a variety of pastas and sauces for dinner; fruit tart, cheesecake, truffles, and a chocolate dessert; and super fun games. Our elders and their wives did a fantastic job serving us as usual! I enjoyed coming early to help set up and decorate. I put Richard to work picking up the balloons. Here is a picture of the evening. If you'd like to see the rest, click on the title of this blog.

Valentine Fun - 2010

The kids each had a Valentine party at school. They made & passed out Valentines to each of their classmates, ate lots of food, and played games. Reuben and I were able to attend their parties, which meant that we got lots of food and treats as well!
As a family, we had a festive Valentine breakfast. Richard made bacon, eggs, and heart-shaped pancakes. Reuben almost ate an entire pancake that was the size of his plate. He thought that was great! Naomi's creative side came out as she made faces out of her food.

Super Bowl Party at Church - February 2010

We watch the Super Bowl at our church on the big projection screen. We ate lots of food, had some birthday cake, played games, and enjoyed the fellowship! To see all the pictures of this event, click on the title of this post.

Naomi's School Performance

In January, Naomi's class had an evening at school where they performed several songs about winter. Naomi loves to perform and did an excellent job! Auntie Krista and Grandpa Jeff, as well as her family, were there to support her.

SGBC Chili Cook-Off and Game Night

Pampering Mommy

Naomi enjoys running her beauty shop in which Mommy is her favorite customer. She does my hair, make-up, nails, and also gives massages. Reuben likes to help.

Ice Skating with the SGBC Teens - Jan. 2010

In January of 2010, Richard and I took the SGBC Teens ice skating at the outdoor rink at Belmar. Joyce and I couldn't skate, but we had lots of fun sitting under the heaters and watching everyone, especially those who fell! Christmas with the Crawfords

We had a Christmas celebration with my mom and my sister, Krista in January 2010. We went to a hotel in downtown Denver where we opened presents, ate pizza, went swimming, played games, stayed up until midnight, and had lots of fun!
Here's a video of our time together:

Christmas at Glenwood Springs

We decided to do something a little different for Christmas this year. We went to Glenwood Springs with a family from our church, the Colliers. There are so many pictures that I wanted to post, but not enough room for them all! On Christmas Eve, we swam in our indoor hotel pool which had a big slide that was the hit of the evening! We saw an advertisement for a very nice restaurant that was offering a traditional turkey dinner, so we decided to go there. However, none of us went for the traditional meal because there were so many other yummy foods to choose from! On Christmas morning, we ate breakfast at our hotel, then opened presents by the huge Christmas tree in the hotel lobby. After lunch at the hotel we went swimming at the Outdoor Hot Springs Pool and spent 4 hours in the water! It felt great in the pool, but it was awful getting out! We were planning on going out for a nice Christmas dinner, but we couldn't find any restaurants that were open, so we ended up getting food from the 7-11 convenient store and ate it while watching Elf in our hotel room. The next morning we went sledding, ate lunch at Applebees, then headed home. Thanks Colliers for all the great memories!
Here are some videos of us sledding:

Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Colorado Springs to visit Tom, Heather, Truett, and Gannon (Richard's cousin & her family). We ate good food all day, had Thanksgiving dinner on the patio in the warm sun, enjoyed great company, and relaxed as we watched Monsters vs. Aliens until it was time to leave.
