Naomi & Gabriel's Class Parties - October 2010
Gabriel's class had a pizza party. They ate lots of treats including mummy cupcakes. They played Bingo and a game where they wrapped each other up in toilet paper to make mummies.
Naomi's class played a few fun games, most of which involved candy. They ate all sorts of treats and also had story time. Reuben, Rebekah, and Trisha attended both parties. All of the kids in the classes loved having the little ones there - especially the baby! I had girls following me all around the classroom so they could see the baby.
Youth Group's Photo Scavenger Hunt
We took our church youth group on a driving scavenger hunt. We split up into teams and then had to choose specific activites to do from a list and have someone take our picture doing that activity. We caught someone with her hands in the cookie jar; we were all in a bath tub; we had to ride in a canoe on dry land; and we had to make fire with sticks. It was silly but fun! Harvest Hop at School
The kids' school had a Harvest Hop where they dressed up, got their faces painted, got candy, & played lots of carnival games.
Anderson Farms - October 2010
There was a hay maze for the younger kids. However, all the big kids got on top of the hay and jumped across. Reuben and I went on a ride to the pumpkin patch and on the way there we stopped to feed and pet the big animals - the one in this picture is a buffalo. Reuben didn't want to touch him, but I did!
The wooden train was Reuben's favorite part of the farm. He & Woody played on it most of the time. Trisha & Rebekah joined him for a ride.
We went to the farm with some of our church family, the Kuennings. The corn maze is my favorite part, however Reuben didn't enjoy all the walking, so he, Rebekah, and I didn't get to stay in it very long. We went to the pumpkin patch while we waited for everyone else to finish the maze.
I told Reuben he could pick any pumpkin that he wanted. He picked a very small gourd and called it his pumpkin. It was the perfect size for him and only cost me 25 cents!
Leona's Baby Shower - October 2010
The ladies at our church threw a baby shower for Leona. We first met for a question and answer time with our Pastor as we normally do for our WOW (Women of the Word) Bible studies. I had the privilege of making the cake and planning the games. My friend Sondie did a great job planning & organizing the event. The day was so much fun, everything looked so beautiful, and Leona got lots of wonderful gifts for her baby girl.
